Head of Swim Coaching, Music Instructor, Tutor - Science Specialist

Ved Bathula is a dedicated and versatile coach, tutor, and mentor with extensive experience in swim instruction, academic tutoring, and music education. He currently serves as the assistant coach for the Rocky Hill High School boys' swim team while pursuing a double major in Molecular & Cell Biology and Economics at the University of Connecticut as a Pre-Med student. In addition to working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Windham Hospital, Ved conducts undergraduate research in cardiometabolic health. He is also an active member of UConn Thunderaas, a competitive Raas-Garba dance team, and competes with UConn's Water Polo club team. In his free time, he enjoys writing short stories, playing the guitar, and swimming.


In High School, he was 2-time captain of Rocky Hill's Boys Varsity Swim Team earning MVP 4 times and qualified as a State Open finalist. Additionally, he acted as assistant coach for the boys and girls swim team. Beyond athletics, he has made significant contributions to the performing arts as Section Leader of the Royal Blues Marching Band, a co-founder of the saxophone quartet "The Royal Reeds," and a soloist in both Symphonic and Jazz Bands. Academically, he stood out as an honor student ranking top 5% in his class. His research on agricultural pesticides' effects on soil and efforts to enhance piezoelectric voltage output advanced their team to the CT Science Fair for three consecutive years, earning Second Honors.
